Aimee Pomerleau, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Feeling overwhelmed or stuck?
I can support you in a process of living your life with greater vitality and deeper connection with yourself and others. I provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore your inner landscape and tap into your own wisdom.
I work with individuals and couples in a variety of areas including trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, chronic health conditions, sexuality, gender, personal growth, relationship issues, and life transitions. I welcome all forms of diversity.
My presence is personable, responsive, and playful. I encourage authentic expression, awareness, and embodiment. While holistic in my approach, my primary therapeutic modes are relational and somatic (mind and body unified). My work is also informed by attachment theory.
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with a Masters in Somatic Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I am licensed in California (#80304) and in Oregon (#T1603). I am the Clinical Director at the Santa Cruz Neurofeedback Center, where I work with clients to assess and integrate their neurofeedback trainings. I have extensive training in Hakomi, a mindfulness-based therapy, as well as additional training in working with trauma. For working with couples, I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a relationship therapy designed to help build awareness and increase intimacy, as well as Hakomi-based and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) couple's work. I have assisted for numerous Hakomi and Re-Creation of Self trainings. I am trained in the use of therapeutic touch. My work is also informed by my background in massage therapy, dance, and yoga. I completed a 100-hour training at Ease Mountain Yoga in Ben Lomond, CA for incorporating yoga into my psychotherapy practice.
Therapy is a unique opportunity to slow down and increase self-awareness. It would be an honor to be a part of your unfolding journey.
I am currently only seeing clients from California and Oregon on-line. I am Portland, Oregon-based with a satellite office in Soquel, California (4 miles south of Santa Cruz).

There is always music amongst the trees in the garden, but our hearts must be very quiet to hear it.
